Hey everyone! So I know I haven't been posting lately, but that is because I've been dealing with a family emergency. Please pray for my brother...he got really terrible news from the hospital today. Although I'm not saying exactly what the results from the hospital are, please know that it is extremely serious and saddening. As I find out more about my brother, I will make sure all of you know what is happening. I truly appreciate your support that you've given me since I started this blog :) These past few months have been a very tragic time for my family, and so I apologize for not posting as often as I should have. Update: Where Have I Been?

Hey everyone! So first off, Happy New Year! I am so excited to start the year off with a blog post. Now, as you may have noticed, this is an update post. I cannot believe it was October when I last posted! I truly apologize. My schedule just became very busy, and then the holidays showed up, and I have been nonstop busy ever since! I hope you have had a much more relaxing holiday season :)

So, since I last blogged, a lot has happened! I got a job promotion and have discovered that I will be studying abroad very shortly :) I will post more about my studies later, but believe me - I will blog no matter where in the world I am! Just as an update on my personal life, I am still dating Bentley, and he is honestly the sweetest guy I've ever met! For the holidays, I spent time with my family, as well as his family. It was great getting to know his family more, and look what he bought me for Christmas! It's a Betsey Johnson ring, and the bow is perfect for the holiday season!

As for upcoming makeup tutorials, I have gotten SO many requests and I am definitely working to get those completed shortly! Please send me any requests you may have to my email or simply comment below! Also, I have just caught up on all of my emails, so I apologize to those of you who were waiting on my response! While on the topic of emails, I want to give a HUGE shout out to Rebecca, one of my readers, who sent me a very long email wishing me all the best over the holidays! It really meant so much to me, so thank you Rebecca!!

Tutorial: Nina Dobrev Emmy-Inspired Makeup Look

Hey everyone! Today’s tutorial is how to achieve Nina Dobrev’s makeup look from the Emmy’s! I primarily used the Urban Decay Naked Palette for this tutorial! Hope you enjoy and comment below if you have any questions J

To get Nina’s look:

-Apply UD Primer Potion all over your lid (including your lower lash line)

-Apply UD Hustle on base of your eye to just above your crease

-Apply UD Gunmetal lightly to base, and then focus it in your crease

-Apply UD Creep heavily to your lash line, smudge a bit toward your crease (gives it the effortless look), and focus it in the outer corner of your eye (gives it the dramatic look)

-Apply a black pencil liner to your bottom lash line (I recommend M.A.C. Eye Kohl in Smolder)

-Apply false lashes to your top lash line (I recommend M.A.C. 4 Lash false lashes)

-Apply a black liquid liner to your top lash line over your false lashes (I recommend M.A.C. Liquidlast Liner. **Tip: applying a liner over false lashes helps to make them look natural and blend in with your look!)

-Apply UD Creep on bottom lash line (gives it the dramatic look)

-Finish with a black mascara over false lashes and lower lashes (I recommend LashBlast Volume Blasting Mascara from Covergirl in Very Black)

Update: Where Have I Been?

Hey everyone! Good and bad news, but first- I'M SORRY!!!!!!! I feel so bad for not posting a lot lately!

So for the bad news: I had an intense episode of vertigo (I've thankfully gotten over it), but my work load has skyrocketed! I am limited to how much I can post on my blog :( I had a makeup tutorial filmed to put on youtube and then my laptop crashed for the THIRD time! Such a stressful week!

For the good news: I got a promotion at work!! Woohoo haha but for the really good news- I have created some makeup tutorials and I'm going to be posting them all VERY, VERY soon :) They are fall-inspired looks, but if you want to see some other tutorials, just request them!

Sick as a Dog + Current Obsession

Hey everyone! So, I've been feeling really sick the past few days. I just wanted to do a short blog to explain why I've been completely MIA the past few days. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully I'll be all better by next week :) I've got a lot of work to do the next few days, as well as prepping for school, so I won't be posting as much anymore :( Just keep reading for more updates!

Intervention Update + VEGAS!

Hey everyone! So quick update for you guys and some fun news to share :)

First- shopping intervention update! Have I bought anything? NO! I have been totally dedicated to not buying anything! It's been hard these first 2 days, but I'm getting through this (I think Hadley is having more trouble than I am lol :P). I hope you all are staying strong and not giving in to those sales people!!

Next- VEGAS! My friend called me last night and said she wanted to go to Vegas, so I thought she was planning a trip for like next week or something. Yeah, I was wrong about that. She decided to do a Vegas road trip and we're leaving soon... as in we're leaving today. Kind of crazy to plan something the night before, but I can't wait! She is bringing her boyfriend and I'm bringing Bentley, plus one other couple is meeting us in Vegas. It's actually funny the way things worked out because Bentley is great friends with her boyfriend and I'm great friends with her...so why not join together for a Vegas road trip? I'll be back late Sunday night or early Monday morning, so I won't be able to post all weekend. And no, don't worry, I won't be drinking (I'm only 20, 1 more year)! Bentley just turned 21 and so did my friend's boyfriend, but both of us girls are still 20. Should be interesting...

Join me for a Shopping Intervention!

Hey everyone! I have to do this post really quickly, but I wanted to let you know why you might not see a lot of hauls coming up.

So basically, Hadley convinced me to go on this thing called a shopping ban. You've probably heard of it and yes, it is as bad as it sounds! It means that we can't buy anything related to makeup or fashion for... wait for it... 2 weeks! We're trying to really commit to this because over the past few months, our hauls and shopping habits have been insane! It's a legit shopping intervention (that is very needed).

I thought it would be fun to share this with you guys and I want every single one of you to join me! It's a lot easier to commit to something when you have people supporting you all around :) To join me in my Shopping Intervention, do not buy anything fashion or makeup related for 2 weeks. Skincare products (such as face wash, face lotion, etc.) are excluded from the ban because without any lotion, my face would actually hurt. So if you run out of your face wash or something like that, don't freak out - those are completely excluded from the ban!

This may be easier for some of you than you expected, but it may also be a lot tougher! I'm so excited to see how all of us do! OOTD + Sorority Sisters + Show Your Hearts

Hey everyone! I'm just doing a quick OOTD and a little Sorority Sisters update today!! I'll also be talking a little about the Show Your Hearts campaign!

Today I have a few meetings at work, so I have to dress more formal than usual. Even though I have to be formal, I still wanted it to be fun... so check out the shoes (they're kind of unbelievable)! I've included multiple views of the shoes because they really are unique in their design!

I love the modern heel on these shoes! It takes a simple, formal dress to a chic, cutting-edge look :) Plus, they also come in brown, so if black isn't your thing, don't worry! Let me know if you like this unique style in the comments below!















Makeup for this look was super simple! I just used some lipstick from MAC in Malt, which was mentioned in my 11 Most Reached for Items post (Click here to read my 11 Most Reached for Items post!). As a base color, I used my Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Bone (also in that post) and added some neutral glitter using colors from my Too Faced Natural Eye Palette! Then I applied some blush from MAC's Surf, Baby collection (Click here to see MAC's Surf, Baby! Blush). For a bit of pop, I used MAC's Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Blue Noon (Click here to see MAC's Blue Noon eyeliner). I didn't wear any foundation because frankly, I was too lazy. And I just barely applied concealer under my eyes. Why not try and recreate this look as leave the link to your look in the comments below? Sorority Sisters Launch!

Hey everyone! I have amazing news to share with you guys! Many of you who follow me on twitter, facebook, etc... know that I've been saying I have a special announcement that would come this week. Well, here it is! Recently, Taylor from youtube (CollegeGlamoration) posted a video talking about an upcoming idea she had to create a virtual sorority. She asked for anyone who wanted to blog or do videos for the Sorority Sisters group, so of course, I knew I had to!

So let me slow down and explain what Sorority Sisters is. It's a virtual sorority that is basically a group of 40 bloggers and vloggers dedicated to giving college advice, tips, and general college information. When I applied to Sorority Sisters, I had to answer basic questions and decide if I wanted to blog, vlog, or do both. I decided to just help with the blogging part of Sorority Sisters! Since I'm not involved with the youtubers, I can't really say what their schedule for posting is exactly, so I'll just be explaining the blog part of it to you guys!

I am a weekly blogger, but some girls are only posting monthly. I will always be posting on Mondays (which means when Monday comes, you should check out my post :D)! The things I write about are mainly fashion, makeup, beauty, and then little random things- like designing your dorm. Other girls are focused on totally different topics- finances, safety, etc. So it really is a complete guide to college, but also a type of advice column!

The girls in Sorority Sisters are either juniors/seniors in high school or in college. They are a great group of girls and let me tell you, I've read some of their posts that aren't published yet, and you will definitely want to read them!

Hey everyone! I just want to start by saying thank you for following me here! When I started this blog, I had no idea if anyone would support me, but every single one of you has made this expierence all worth it :)

Update: Your Comments + 3 More Days

Hey everyone! So first off, I had such a great time in North Carolina! It was a lot of work, but it was all worth it :) I'm back now and trying to catch up on everything, which has been very overwhelming! Anyway, I wanted to do a quick update about some things going on this week and the next few weeks.

The first thing I want to talk about is comments on my blog posts. I read EVERY SINGLE comment and I love reading them! However, as my blog has expanded, I am not able to respond to all of them as I used to be able to :( However, as I said, I do read all of them, so if you have a question or request, still go ahead and ask about it because I will respond to those types of comments! I seriously appreciate you guys and your comments, so don't think otherwise!

Next thing I wanted to mention is that there are only 3 DAYS LEFT until I chose the winner for the $420 makeup give away!! I have been getting so many emails from you guys and I really appreiciate you entering! Some emails have made me want to cry because they're so inspirational, while others have literally made me fall to the floor because they were so funny!! I can't wait to chose the winner :D

Update: OOTD + Boyfriend

Hey everyone! Today, I'm just doing an OOTD and giving some updates. I've actually started packing for my trip, so I'm in the middle of that and I'm going out to lunch later today, so I have like no time. AHHH :/ Anyway, this is what I'm wearing today- to work and lunch. And before I forget: thank you so much for all of your requests! I know I've been falling behind on getting them posted, but trust me- I'm working as fast as I can to get everything done! Thank you so much for your support everyone!

I love this outfit because it's so comfortable! The dress is one I ordered from Lulu's and it's super inexpensive, which is always a plus! At first, I was going to wear wedges with it, but then decided to go a bit more casual as I'm doing tons of walking today! So, I paired my TOMS with it. I love this pair of TOMS especially because it's a bit more dressed up with the crochet detail, but still remains true to the TOMS orginal design. To add a bit of style, I added a simple ring from Nicole Richie's line (which btw, I LOVE!!!). For makeup, just a simple NARS Orgasm blush on the cheek. Plus a little Benefit Hoola Bronzer to contour. On my lips, I used my MAC Surf, Baby! Lipstick in Naturally Eccentric. As you can see, today was not a very exciting makeup day :( However, when I go to North Carolina, I'll be doing more interesting looks and will definitely post them!



So, to get to my summer stuff... Today, I'm meeting with Bentley for lunch. Did I mention he's my new boyfriend? I try to keep my personal life pretty protected, but with all of the support you guys have offered me, I feel like I should tell you how much that means! We've been dating for a bit and since I work with him, we always hang out. He's so sweet and is halarious!! Like, no joke- he can make me laugh at any given second of the day! If you want to know more about him, I can do a boyfriend tag later on. Anyway, he's coming to North Carolina with me, so I'm like even more excited for my trip :) I, again, want to thank each and every one of you for your support! Update: Huge Give Away!

Hey everyone! If you follow me on twitter or on facebook, you already know the news I'm about to share. So, I got a call last night from my boss telling me about this meeting that is happening in North Carolina. After telling me a lot about it, he asked me to also attend. The only bad part about this is that the day I was supposed to pick a winner is July 10th. On July 10th, I'll be on a plane (a long plane ride may I add, from North Carolina to Los Angeles...). Anyway, it would be very difficult for me to chose a winner not being on land, so I have decided to move the day I chose a winner to a later date. Haul with Hadley!

Hey everyone! So, I made a list of all of your requests :) For now, I'm just doing a simple haul post! I went shopping this week with my sister, Hadley, and well... take a look at how it went!

-- Alexia Admor Sequin Shift Dress [$298] I thought this was so cute and had to get it! It's a gorgeous color and the sequins are amazing :)

-- KORS Michael Kors Salinas Bootie [$112] This geometric design immediately caught my eye! I tried them on and fell in more love with them. I had trouble deciding between the black and the brown, but eventually just went with the black- my sister's suggestion.

-- LUSH Chai Spicy Shower Gel [$26.95] I LOVE Chai Tea, so when I saw this, I knew it was a match made in heaven! I haven't used it yet, but I cannot wait to try it out :)

-- Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder [$30] I just saw this and decided why not give it a try? I was in need of a finishing powder anyway, so I hope this one works!

-- La Mer Moisturizing Cream [$135] Yes, I know this is expensive! However, I've read amazing reviews on this and my best friend, Leighton, swears by it! Plus, it lasts a long time :)

Hey everyone! I know earlier I was so excited to announce my give away, but now my attention is kinda switched. As you all know, Hunter and I went to Hawaii together and for the most part, had a great time. However, we did have one sorta big fight. We got over it though and everything was normal.

Hunter's mom (who I am very close to) insisted I come to their beach home in the Bahamas. Hunter and I were going to stay in the guest house and it was all planned out. Unfortunately, I couldn't go because my sister was coming to stay with me in LA for a little while. Hunter's mom totally understood, but Hunter seemed really upset. Apparently he felt I wasn't spending time with him, and I only spent time with my family- not his. After trying to reason with him, I finally gave in and said I'd go to the Bahamas with him. The worst part of this was having to tell my sister she couldn't come to LA and stay with me. Hunter was so happy, as was his family. Something, though, felt wrong and yup you probably guessed it- Hunter and I started arguing again!

After having a weird past few days, he called me and told me he was no longer willing to be second in my life or something like that. And then proceeded to uninvite me to the Bahamas. He said we were officially over and hung up. I will admit I cried! I mean, what girl wouldn't?

To make everything even better, I heard he already invited another girl to the Bahamas. It's been like 1 day since the break up! Who does that??

To conclude, I am now officially single and I'm looking forward to finding a guy who appreciates me AND my family!

I hope I didn't ramble too much! And I just wanted to let everyone know Hunter and I broke up because, believe it or not, people email me asking how he and I are doing. I really don't want those emails any more :/

Anyway, I hope your day was way better than mine and the give way rules will be posted soon!
